Tucson Welcome Home

In a groundbreaking initiative to ease the path to homeownership for aspiring buyers, the GoWest Credit Union Association has joined forces with six Tucson area credit unions to introduce a $0 down payment program.

While this is a collaborative effort to introduce a zero down payment assistance program, each credit union will participate in a slightly different way. Three credit unions, Vantage West Credit Union, Tucson Federal Credit Union and Pima Federal Credit Union, will provide funding, while the other three, Hughes Federal Credit Union, Tucson Old Pueblo Federal Credit Union and Pyramid Federal Credit Union, will focus on promoting this worthwhile cause to the public. 

Andrew Britton, CEO/President at Hughes, says, “Our collaboration is crucial in spreading the word about this program, which is designed to support individuals and families looking to purchase their first home by providing vital resources to overcome financial barriers. Whether participating as an originator or a credit union focused on outreach, it’s essential that we work together to make a meaningful impact in our community."

In addition to financial assistance, educational workshops and resources will be available to help buyers understand the responsibilities of home ownership, budgeting, and maintaining a healthy financial profile.
