Despite a global pandemic and an associated economic slowdown, Hughes Federal Credit Union earned a 4-star “Excellent” rating from Bauer Financial, a rating agency that analyzes and reports on the financial condition of the nation's banking industry.
While the overall banking industry saw a 36.5% loss in income, Bauer reported that “the majority of federally insured banks and credit unions have prepared for a worst-case scenario.” Among those prepared is Hughes Federal Credit Union who saw an increase of income from $10.6 million in 2019 to $15.7 million in 2020.
Hughes has over 30 consecutive years as an "excellent" or “superior" financial institution, cementing its strength and soundness and underscoring its commitment to providing exceptional financial products and services to the people of Southern Arizona.
