Forbes Names Hughes One of Arizona’s Best Credit Unions for 2 Out of 2 Years
When it comes to customer service, accessibility, and financial advice, member-owned financial institutions like Hughes Federal Credit Union outrank big banks.
Hughes Federal Credit Union, locally owned in Tucson, AZ, was named as one of Forbes’ “Best-In-State Banks and Credit Unions” in Arizona for 2 out of 2 years, coming in as one of the top five credit unions on the 2019 rankings.
Forbes, a popular global business media company, partnered with Statista on an independent survey of more than 25,000 customers across the nation about their financial dealings. The banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five key areas: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice.
Hughes’ President and General Manager Robert J. Swick said, “We are honored to be recognized as one of the best-in-state credit unions in Arizona by Forbes for two years in a row. This award validates our dedication to making a positive difference in the financial lives of our members through best-in-class products, services and customer care.”
Credit unions are different by design. Not-for-profit and locally-owned means a community’s priorities are given the front seat. Beholden not to shareholders but to members, credit unions are focused on what’s best for their members, returning profit to them through higher savings rates, lower loan rates, interest-earning checking and fewer and lower fees.
