How to Open an Account at Hughes

Membership is open to anyone that lives, works, worships or attends school in Tucson, or through other affiliations you may have. Open an account online or visit one of our convenient branches. You'll need:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • A valid form of identification (U.S. Driver’s License/ID or U.S. Passport with Signature)
  • Information for funding your new account (existing Hughes account number, account number and routing number from another financial institution, or a credit/debit card)
  • Your previous address (if at current address less than two years)
  • If applying for a joint membership/account, the secondary applicant's information

Open A Hughes Account

 

Change Your Automatic Transfers & Payments

Direct Deposit

Notify your employer(s) to change paycheck direct deposit to your Hughes account.

Automatic Payments

Change automatic payments (utilities, mortgage, insurance, etc.) to your Hughes account.

Online Bill Pay

Cancel any electronic payments / online bill pay at your previous financial institution. Then sign up for Bill Pay at Hughes. 

Close Your Old Account(s)

Keep sufficient funds in your old account(s) until you've verified that your last checks, direct deposits and automatic payments have been posted. Then notify your former financial institution that you are closing your account.
