Ready to purchase a new or used motorcycle or ATV? Here's how to get started.
Before heading to the dealership or searching online, figure out how much you can afford to spend and have an idea of what your monthly payment should look like. Will you be buying new or used? Use the “How Much Car Can I Afford?” calculator to help you determine a total.
With hundreds of brands and types to choose from, the motorcycle or ATV selection process can feel a little overwhelming. There are many different types and brands to consider but your decision should really center around answering the question, “Does it fit my needs?” Will you be using your motorcycle or ATV for family outings or work? Will you need cargo bins? Will you have passengers?
Once you’ve figured out what you can afford, it’s time to dig a little deeper. Research loan rates before you go to the dealership or talk to a private seller. Match your loan with your budget instead of shopping for a motorcycle or ATV and then finding a loan. You’ll save money because you’ll be less likely to buy something can’t afford.
