Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals - TMC for Children
Every year, Hughes is delighted to help support our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, TMC for Children, by selling $1-holiday icons to our members to raise funds for the sick children in our communities. This act of kindness also rewarded supporters by entering them into a raffle for a giant holiday stocking.
Junior Achievement Heroes
Hughes was proud to join in celebrating some of the key educators, volunteers and partners in our community who help shape the futures of Tucson-area students and prepare them for success. As an Ambassador Sponsor for the JA Heroes event, Hughes provided the JA program for one classroom for an entire year.
Hughes Shred Event
The Hughes Shred Event helped members of our community stay protected from identity theft by safely destroying their boxes of documents while helping support the Diamond Children's Medical Center.
The Fisher House Foundation
In support of their mission to improve the lives of Veterans and their families every day, Hughes was proud to present a donation to The Fisher House Foundation which helps provide free temporary housing to families of veterans and military service members in Tucson.
Marana Unified School District
In support of Career and Technical Education programs that prepare students to enter the workforce, Hughes’ IT Department was proud to donate 70 PCs to Marana Unified School District high school tech teachers.
7th Annual Resources Vail Food Bank Golf Challenge
Hughes was proud to sponsor the ReSources Vail Food Bank’s 2022 Golf Challenge. The event raised funds to help provide emergency food for families, seniors and students in our community while expanding programs and services.
Special Olympics 2022
Special Olympics Arizona has been serving children and adults with ID since 1975. That’s why Hughes was proud to sponsor and attend the Breakfast with Champions, benefiting over 21,000 athletes participating in the Special Olympics Arizona.
Ronald McDonald House Charities House Party
From housing to nutritious home-cooked meals, RMHC nurtures the health and well-being of children with illnesses and their families. To help support that mission, Hughes was honored to sponsor the RMHC House Party event.
Film Fest Tucson
Hughes was proud to sponsor the 6th Annual Film Fest Tucson. This special event is dedicated to honoring the rich film history of the region, celebrating new voices near and far while delivering a unique Southern Arizona film experience.
Tucson Young Professionals
As a supporter of professional development for the young people in our community, Hughes was proud to sponsor the Ignite520 event for Tucson Young Professionals, an organization that works to make Tucson a better place for young professionals to live, work, and play through professional events, mid-career development, and advocacy initiatives.
St. Luke’s Home
Hughes was proud to sponsor the St. Luke’s Home Silver Chef Culinary Competition. The Hughes team had a wonderful time helping support an organization that helps give high-quality housing and care to seniors in our community.
Pueblo High School
The Hughes team donated Arizona volleyball tickets to the Pueblo High School girl’s volleyball team and joined Hughes in cheering on the Wildcats.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona
Hughes was proud to sponsor "The Big, The Little, The Western" event to benefit the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
911 Tower Challenge
In honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001, and in continued honor of our first responders and military who protect us from foreign and domestic threats, we gathered to pay our respects at the annual 911 Tower Challenge.
Love of Literacy Festival
We had a great time at the Children’s Museum's annual Love of Literacy Festival. Hughes was proud to sponsor the free event, where kids and families can celebrate the joy of reading and connect with great local literacy resources.

The Hughes Helps team had so much fun helping piece together the Ben's Bells Tucson Mural at the Tucson Convention Center.

Treasures 4 Teachers of Tucson
Treasures 4 Teachers of Tucson helps raise funds to support the educators in our community with basic learning supplies and other resources. In support of their mission, the Hughes Helps team was happy to roll up their sleeves and help put together some fun learning tools!

Reach for the Stars
Tucson Fire Department
Going through flames and fires requires a heart of courage and to show a little love to our brave firefighters of the “House of Love” (Station #8), our Wetmore branch manager Andy treated them to a delicious lunch.
Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse
Emerge provides survivors with resources including emergency shelter, safety planning, DV education and beyond. In support of their mission, Hughes donated $1,000 in hygiene items to help families in shelter.
AmeriSchools
As a thank you to the wonderful teachers that help inspire the students in our community every day, Hughes Speedway Branch Manager Sylvia treated the educators at AmeriSchools Academy to a nice lunch.
Arizona Bilingual
Hughes was proud to support the 11th Annual Arizona Bilingual Newspaper's Back to School event held at the Tucson Community Center. The AZ Bilingual event gave away over 2,000 backpacks and 3,000 free textbooks to help the young learners in our community.
Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation
Hughes supports the SARSEF mission of helping create Arizona’s future critical thinkers through the exploration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and was proud to be this year’s celebration sponsor.Caysen's Crew

Casa de los Niños

With triple-digit temps comes triple-digit utility costs, that’s why we gave our social media followers a chance to win $300. Two lucky winners were randomly selected and awarded the prize.
Viva Performing Arts Center
The Viva Performing Arts Center celebrated its 35th year and Hughes was proud to support this year’s musical and dance celebration that featured international performing dance companies Ballet Folklorico San Juan, Ballet Folklorico Arizona and Viva Arizona Dance Co.
Marana Police Department
As a thank you for their unparalleled service and dedication to the Town of Marana, Hughes provided lunch for the officers at the Marana Police Department from local business, Barnfire Mesquite Grill.

Ben's Bells creates "Be Kind" ornaments to help inspire people to practice kindness as a way of life. The Hughes Helps team was happy to be a part of that mission helping assemble some beautiful ornaments to share across town.

The 31st Annual Steak and Burger Dinner celebrated the accomplishments of the 2022 Boys and Girls Club of Arizona. Hughes is proud to support the B&G Club in its mission to provide Tucson's youth with programs and opportunities that will support them on their path toward a brighter tomorrow.
Igniting Ideas
Igniting Ideas is a non-profit that works to create opportunities for the young adults in our community empowering them through curriculums that strengthens their self-awareness, financial literacy and social skills, and informed decision-making. Southern Arizona Book Heroes
Southern Arizona Book Heroes helps children who have experienced trauma find hope through the wonder of literature. Hughes was proud to support their mission, supplying a few friendly Howie the Javelinas (who make great reading partners) and some coloring books.

Autism Society of Southern Arizona
The Autism Society of Southern Arizona works to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully. In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, Hughes was proud to support the Autism Society of Southern Arizona's Drive-in Movie Event.
Pima Animal Care Center Foster Families
PACC Foster Families offer a safe environment for cats and dogs, helping reduce their time in the shelter. Hughes was proud to help provide food for 70 PACC Foster families for a week.

Established in 2013, Vecinos’ mission is to enhance the health of our neighbors through the philanthropic support of El Rio Health. Hughes was proud to support this year's El Rio Vecinos Block Party where we celebrated the work of El Rio's Children's Dental Program.

Hughes presented a check to the Banner Health Foundation in March with funds raised through $5 donations for every new Banner Health debit card issued to members in 2021.
Habitat for Humanity
Hughes was proud to support the Habitat for Humanity Tucson’s Women Build Program to help low- to moderate-income families make strides toward economic stability and sustainability.
City Care Outreach
The Zion City Care program works to improve access to basic components of quality health care, for individuals, families, and communities in the Tucson region. Hughes was happy to help with their mission to assist those in our community with a donation.

Read Across America Week
Our Thornydale team was happy to provide Dr. Seuss books to the kindergarten students of Butterfield Elementary School in honor of National Read Across America Week.
Tucson Wildlife Center
With donations made through Diana Madaras’ Bobcat at the Pool and Little Prowler debit card designs this year, Hughes was proud to provide contributions to the Tucson Wildlife Center to help support the rehabilitation of wildlife in Southern Arizona.
Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance
All proceeds generated from the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance’s and Hughes sponsored Cruise, BBQ & Blues Classic Car Show went towards SAACA’s Creative Outreach and Arts Program to provide no-cost arts therapies for over 1,000 veterans.
Vail Pride Day
Hughes was proud to show support as a Vail Pride Day event sponsor. Vail Pride Day is an annual event held by the Vail School District that celebrates achievement, community, and culture.
TMC Foundation
Hughes was excited to present a donation to the TMC Foundation, which supports the charitable missions of TMC HealthCare. TMC operates the only children’s emergency center and special care unit for children who need an extended hospital stay.
American Heart Association
This year, we partnered with the American Heart Association to help promote healthy living. On National Wear Red Day, we donated $5 for every Hughes employee who wore red.
Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona
