What You Need to Know About Your New Platinum Visa

In an effort to provide our members with the latest secure payment features, Hughes Federal Credit Union Visa credit card holders will be receiving (if not already received) their all-new Platinum Visa credit card with contactless technology. Here’s what you should know.
When will I receive my new card?
If you haven’t already received your new card it should be coming to your mailbox soon. (Braille cards are available upon request.)
Please note that your new card will have a different card number. Don't forget to update your online merchants and recurring payments with the new information once you’ve activated your new card.

While you may not have requested it, if you are a current Hughes credit card holder, you’ll be automatically receiving the all-new Platinum Visa featuring contactless technology.
What should I do when I receive my new card?
- Follow the instructions on the new card to activate it.
- Destroy your old card.
- Update any online merchants or recurring payments with your new card information.
- Add to your favorite digital wallet – Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, or Samsung Pay™.
- Sign up for eStatements* with the Hughes Mobile App or Online Banking.
How can I make my credit card payment?
You can make payments on your credit card from a Hughes account via transfer which can be done online, by phone, or at a branch. You also have the option to mail in your payment.
Any payments made on your previous card will transfer to your new card once activated. You’ll then also have the option to enroll your new card in Online Banking which will allow you to make and schedule transfers via ACH from another financial
institution.
