With each passing year, we are becoming more digitized and connected to our purchases, finances, friends and schools with the use of technology. As we continue to fully embrace the digital age, we need to also take extra precautions as we become more comfortable with sharing our data online.
Instead of swiping at the register then tucking the cards back in our wallet, we are permitting digital stores to keep our cards stored for future use by creating a login and password and agreeing to the terms and conditions. This is a convenient form of shopping that saves both time and money.
Instead of driving to school and walking to class, many students are opting for online studies in order to learn from the comfort of home. Many schools now offer their curriculum online and lessons can be accessed by simply logging in.
Similarly, financial institutions like Hughes Federal Credit Union are also adapting a more convenient approach when servicing the financial needs of members. When applying for a loan or account, our Credit Union may require documents that contain personal or sensitive information. Members are not required to bring them in person but can submit them electronically for a faster and more convenient experience. Here’s how to safely submit your documents electronically:
- Secure Message Center – Our portal allows a safe communication between the member and our Credit Union and offers the option to safely upload forms. You must first register your account and set up a password in order to log in. You can feel safe knowing that your tax information, medical history and mortgage details are being handled in a secure manner.
- Loan Status Portal – To check the status of an application, upload documents directly into a loan application or to send comments or questions about the loan visit our Loan Status Portal.
As a last resort, you can also fax your documents at 520-696-4260. Generally, faxing is safer than regular unencrypted email.
