Please keep in mind that the FCC is reporting a rise in COVID-19 scams. Fraudsters are pretending to be employed by local labs with false test results. Beware of emails, text messages and calls that promise financial assistance on behalf of the IRS.

A Possible Second Stimulus

Those who were most impacted during the early stages of the pandemic received economic relief funds under the CARES Act, the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. Congress appears to near a possibility of a second stimulus package intended to send $1,200 for each qualifying adult, and $500 for each qualifying child dependent under the HEALS Act, Health, Economic Assistance, Liability Protection and Schools Act. The first checks could be mailed in late summer. Lawmakers are eager to move this second stimulus package forward before the Senate recesses again on August 8.
